The Nokia 6120 Classic is a slimline smartphone that is ideal for anyone seeking a reliable easy-to-use device with a wide range of features. It is a classic candybar design in a glossy black case with curved edges and silver trim. The 31 x 41mm screen is bright and clear and carries 16 million colours - much more than the human eye can detect but which reveals a beautifully smooth transition when watching video. This smartphone runs on the Symbian S60 operating system - familiar from Nokia's more high-end N-series and E-series smartphones - and offers plenty of scope for adding your own applications. As well as quad-band GSM connections - supporting international roaming - it offers an HSDPA 3.5G connection. HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) is the latest fastest variety of 3G offering data connections to the internet that are several times faster than standard 3G. With HSDPA speeds Internet browsing and downloading data is quick; PDF and Microsoft Office document readers come pre-installed along with three games (Marble CityBloxx and High Roller) but it is quick and simple to download more software. The phone sports two cameras - a 2 megapixel camera on the back for taking photos with 4 x digital zoom and a lower-resolution camera on the front for video calls. There is an LED flash on the back and night mode for taking shots in the dark. It also supports panorama shots six shots in a burst and video capture. You can then watch saved video clips listen to music and voice recordings stream video over 3G and view presentations on the 6120. The music player supports all the major formats and includes a basic graphic equaliser with some fun quirky listening options such as "underwater" and "bathroom" A 256 MB microSD card is bundled in for additional storage capacity - enough for about 64 songs - and supports cards up to 2 GB (about 500 songs). This is a phone that makes no great claims to be fashionable nor does it have much in the way of fashion-conscious bells or whistles such as touch sensitive controls but it does have everything you need from a phone right now. |
